Build your XI
Pick how you play, choose your shape, then spin for 11 players.
38-0 Football is a free browser-based Premier League squad builder and draft simulator. Spin the slot machine to land on an iconic club, browse their legendary squad, draft your chosen players one round at a time, arrange them into your preferred formation, and then simulate a full 38-game Premier League season. The ultimate challenge: finish the campaign with a perfect 38 wins, 0 draws, 0 losses.
The game is split into three stages — Setup, Draft, and Season Simulation — each designed to reward football knowledge and tactical thinking.
Start by selecting Classic Mode or Expert Mode. In Classic Mode all player attributes (Pace, Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Defending, Physicality and Overall Rating) are visible, letting you make data-driven picks. Expert Mode hides the stats — only the player's name and position are shown — demanding real-world football knowledge and gut instinct.
Then pick your formation from eight tactical shapes: 4-4-2 (Classic), 4-3-3 (Attack), 4-3-3 (Defence), 4-2-3-1 (Modern), 3-5-2, 5-3-2 (Counter), 4-5-1 (Defensive) and 4-3-2-1 (Christmas Tree). Your choice defines which positions appear on the virtual pitch and how much positional fitness matters when placing players.
Hit SPIN to randomly draw a Premier League club and a legendary season from their history. The slot reels reveal the club badge, season year, and league position, giving you a snapshot of the squad's quality before you start picking. You get one free re-spin per round if the draw doesn't suit your tactical plan.
Each round presents the full squad of that era's club. Choose one player to add to your XI. Tap any highlighted position on the pitch — positions that suit the player's natural role glow green — and place them. The 11-slot progress bar at the top tracks every pick, showing each player's initials once they're locked in.
Already-placed players are greyed out with a PLACED badge so you always know what's available. Repeat for all 11 rounds to complete your starting lineup.
Once your XI is complete, the engine simulates a full 38-match Premier League season. Results are calculated based on your team's combined ratings, formation synergy, positional fitness scores, and a seeded random element to reflect the unpredictability of real football. Your final table position, win/draw/loss record, goals scored and conceded are displayed on the Results screen.
Choosing the right formation is the first big tactical decision. Here's what each one offers:
Unlike traditional fantasy football games, 38-0 Football focuses on historical Premier League squads rather than the current season. You're not just picking today's in-form players — you're diving into the archives, reliving legendary eras and making tough choices about whether Ryan Giggs fits better on the left wing than Steve McManaman in a 4-3-3.

38-0-0 means winning all 38 Premier League matches in a single season — the perfect record. No team has ever achieved this in English football history, making it the ultimate challenge in the game and a reference to the famous all-win target in football management.
The game includes iconic Premier League clubs and their legendary historical squads, covering multiple eras from the Premier League's founding in 1992 through to the modern era. Clubs include Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, and many more.
Yes. 38-0 Football is fully responsive and works on any modern smartphone or tablet. The dual-column game layout adapts to smaller screens for a comfortable mobile experience.
In Classic Mode all player attributes (OVR, PAC, SHO, PAS, DRI, DEF, PHY) are shown, making player comparison straightforward. In Expert Modeonly the player's name and position are visible — no ratings, no clues. Expert Mode is for true football historians who know their Premier League legends by reputation alone.
After your XI is complete, the simulator calculates your team's overall strength score from player ratings and positional fitness. It then plays out 38 fixtures against simulated Premier League opponents, applying a seeded random factor to each match result. The algorithm ensures that strong squads win more often while still allowing upsets — just like real football.
Positional fitness measures how well a player suits the slot you've placed them in. A centre-forward in a striker slot scores 100% fitness. A midfielder pressed into attack scores around 75%. A defender in midfield scores 30%. Low fitness reduces your team's overall rating, so drafting players for the right positions is crucial.
